Funding and Transparency

The Children’s Heart Project provides a variety of inputs towards the improvement of the diagnosis, treatment and care of CHD in Sri Lanka. While Project members’ and associates’ expertise are provided free of charge, other inputs cost money. Fund-raising is therefore an important activity of the Project. Funds are raised through public and private subscription. All donations are acknowledged. CHP maintains a policy of complete transparency and accountability in its dealings. Accounts are maintained by M/S. Ernst and Young, Sri Lanka and annually audited by M/S. KPMG Ford, Rhodes, Thornton & Co., Sri Lanka which are two of the four big public accounting firms in the world.
